Omni Design offers a family of support IP and solutions including bandgap references, internally compensated and externally compensated LDOs supporting process nodes from advanced FinFET nodes to 28nm. Omni Design's offerings are characterized by capabilities such as capless operation, superior Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR), and low noise.
LDOs are considered optimal power supply IP for sensitive analog circuits that necessitate high voltage accuracy and minimal noise. They are frequently deployed as Point-of-Load (PoL) regulators, strategically placed in close proximity to the target IP block to deliver clean, regulated power. Beyond their fundamental role in voltage regulation, LDOs also function as crucial filters. They effectively suppress ripple and noise originating from upstream switching converters, thereby safeguarding sensitive downstream loads from adverse power supply conditions.

Capless LDO Solutions with Integrated Pass Transistors
Omni Design offers capless low dropout regulators (LDOs) for efficient power management. These internally compensated LDO solutions are designed with an integrated pass transistor and maintain stability with an on-chip capacitor of up to 1nF. This on-chip stability is a key enabler for capless operation, significantly reducing the reliance on bulky external components. Capless LDOs showcase a range of output current capabilities from 60mA to 300mA and support for various advanced FinFET process nodes and foundries.
For applications with specific compensation requirements, Omni Design also provides externally compensated LDOs, which are stable with a minimum of 10uF external capacitance.
Seamless Integration Capabilities
A crucial aspect of our value proposition is the ease with which our LDOs integrate with Omni Design's own ADCs and DACs. Additionally we offer highly integrated Analog Front-End (AFE) solutions that include LDOs, PVT monitoring, references, and clock management.
